kibanda Stories

How true are these stories? Is there exaggeration involved? Are they told to evoke pity or to demonize a population—what is often called bad press? All of these can be true, and all have been proven to occur.

At Kibanda Project, we commit ourselves to telling these stories as they should be told, reflecting reality with honesty and integrity.

We are currently investigating a deeply troubling environmental issue impacting communities in Dandora and Korokocho. This story needs to be brought to public attention to raise awareness and prompt action. By highlighting these challenges, we hope to inspire solutions and offer hope for a better future.

For more information on this story, we will share it on our official social media accounts, where you can watch it. The full-length version will be posted on our official YouTube channel.

We are also working closely with young people to help them develop storytelling skills, including how to write and record stories for future archives. Training these young individuals has been a valuable opportunity to mentor others to take on this role once we move on.

We strive to share our stories in our own language and style because as long as there are people, stories will never run out. A story is a form of entertainment, and becoming a skilled storyteller is no easy feat.

This is something we take great pride in, and it also serves as a valuable source of income. Our stories define us, and storytelling—whether written or spoken—is the most effective way to share information with the world.

If you would like to be part of this initiative or know someone who could benefit from it, please reach out to us through our official contact channels.
